17BLACK Entertainment is a tour production and tour management company in Seattle. We build and run North American tours for artists, agencies and promoters from anywhere in the world: production, crew, trucking, advancing and settlement, start to finish. One contract, one budget, one team.
One team owns the whole run. You bring the artist and the show; we handle everything it takes to put it on stage in every city and get it home. Touring into North America from overseas is our specialty, and we speak the language: visas, withholding, translators and the long-haul logistics that come with it.
Eight tours in eighteen months, from 1,000-cap theatres to arenas, and every one of them came from an agency or promoter who had watched us run the one before it. We have never advertised. They come back because every show runs smoothly, we find a solution to every problem, and our clients leave with an experience they remember.
Our leadership comes from trucking, venue management and operations direction, not just from the road. Routing gets planned by someone who has hauled freight, advances get written by someone who has run the building, and budgets get managed by someone who has run a company's operations. We build leaders, too: every crew member is trained to run their department and make the call on the floor, so the show never waits on one person.
The core team has worked together for more than ten years, and a 17BLACK tour feels like a family. We do not shy away from issues, we communicate early and plainly, and we take care of each other on the road, on top of making sure everyone has a great time. We are seriously unserious. And yes, there is always a FAMILY MEAL!!
We give 110% to everything, including the small things nobody would notice if we skipped them. We make things happen, even at the last minute, and we practice unreasonable hospitality: the artist party, the crew and the client should feel looked after in ways they did not think to ask for.
